Hello. I have a 10 year old daughter that is in the 4th grade. She has been on medication since 1st grade for ADD. She has done fairly well until now. 1st and 2nd 9 weeks she had all A's and B's. Starting in the 3rd nine weeks things went down hill quick. She acts as if she just don't care. I found myself.....constantly yelling and threatening(holding back in 4th grade again, restriction, etc.)We have been going back and forth to md and changed medications and now we are tapering up the medications. But I am feeling sooooo guilty for having to medicate her, for yelling, etc.......can she help it?????is she really trying???? I am at a lost and don't know which way to turn now. Any advice... ↓
