Hi,Please could someone help me and give me some advice? I really dont know who else i can turn to...
To cut a long story short!,,
My 11yr old son has ADHD for which he takes medication.
He is really hard work to the point I cant control him.
He moved from first school to Secondary school September
He has a statement of educational needs for 32/34 hours per week.. And has had a Statement of E,Needs for about 4year now. Granted 34hrs a week? But is only there 10hrs for first year and abit around 5hrs?..
The Problem i have. With the new school transfer he was only in school a few days and got excluded for a week!
He then got sent home on 2 other days.
After 3 weeks.. There was a meeting at school... They said my son was not settling very well so they were going work with us to get him settled in...
So an Agreement was made at the meeting.
1..He was to start school at 9.30am... (not at the same time as other children)
2..Work one 2 one to try and encourage him with reading a writing..

3..To be collected from school at 10.30am for the first few days?.. (this went on for 5weeks)
4..After 5 weeks he went untill 10.50am?
5..After Easter holidays 2009 he went untill 11.50am.
6..SEPTEMBER 2009 he was allowed to stay untill 12.15pm?
7..He is not in a class with other kids. (In library with helper..Printing pictures and colouring in).
SCHOOL SAID AT A MEETING IN AUG 2009. ~*
THEY COULD NOT MEET HIS NEEDS?????*~ Education and behavior!
But have not done anything to point me in the right direction to someone who can help meet his needs?
I have rang loads of solicitors but they cant seem to help me.... As they deal with poor attendance kids whos parents are being prosecuted!!! They say it is wrong?
I was told to contact county hall,has anyone tried to ring them? I am waiting for county hall ringing me back still after 4 weeks.
IS THIS AGAINST THE LAW??
If I was keeping him off school I would certainly be prosecuted!!
IF ANYONE CAN TELL ME ANYTHING AT ALL THAT COULD HELP ME???
I WILL BE EVER SO GRATEFULL.
