I'm a mom who is fairly new to the world of adhd my son was officially diagnosed in November he also has dysgraphia they started him on Ritalin in November. He is on 10mg twice a day. How do I know when it needs to be increased He is 10 and a very big boy he is 115 pounds The doctor said she knows kids half his size on twice as much but didn't increase it I am a little cofused what should I look for . Right now he is being more of abrat mouthy swearing and getting in a bit of trouble again his principal says he feels that it is just June restlessness I not sure ?Any suggestions?

Just for a point of reference...my son is 6, weighs 52 pounds and over the course of the day takes 40 mg. We started off at 10 mg and kept titrating it until we could see he was able to control his impulsivity. He also has ODD, and the increase in Ritalin to 40 mg per day has helped that immensely as well.
