My 9 year old daughter has been taking Focalin for about a year now. Her ability to focus and stay on task has improved, but the medication seems to be magnifying her emotions. She will go into crying fits that can last hours. We have taken her off the Focalin and she has been med free for the past 4 days. The crying has greatly subsided, but all the ADHD symptoms are back in full force. Her doctor has mentioned switching classes of medication. She mentioned Adderall, I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with Adderall and can tell me if we can expect some of the same side affects? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. ↓
