we are adoping my hubbys nephew he is so unreal ... have u ever heard of a child who does kick ass in school but then when we ask him to do brush up math at home as we were told to he will delibertly get it wrong and eventho he knows he cant go play till it is done .he will STILL get it wrong on purpose and HE admits he is doing it wrong ... he is 7yrs old ..... he is very good at school work AT school....the problem they have with him at school is his vaulger mouth...he also lies and he knows i can tell when he is lying ..i dont know how much more i can take i need help... it was my hubbys idea to keep him ...i dont want to hurt my hubby ..and he is such a push over when it comes to chris.... we have a dr appointment but not till june 18 ... ohhhh i just want to screem.... what can i do.... i have grounded him he dont care i have made him write out of the dictonary dont work..and boyyyy can he turn on the tears... and do the little pouty face ..and try to look so abused .. thank you for listening there is so much more but im sure i have bored ya enough ..i need help or at least a friend to talk to about him with ideas..my email is [email protected] if u have anyideas u can email me or just post it here is fine ....thank you

My step son is bipolar but this actually sounds like add or ahd.
I am sure this has not been an easy adjustemnt for him being only 7 & having to be adopted by another family member.It sounds to me like he is testing the waters. I am glad you have a dr apt. You could call & tell them how out of contrll things are ...They might fit you in????
Could you sit down with him and ask him why he does these thing and that you know he is a great kid? You could even say look lets go over allof our rules so that we all can have a happy family. Have him help you with ther rules & punishments, Post them on the wall out of reach. Tell himesome you you have to make up as they go along.Put a few rules down for the parnets too like if we swear we have to put money in a jar or what ever.
Did you adopt due to a death or another reason???
I would love to try and help. so let me know some back ground.

i dont know how his life was when he was at his other home, but it sounds like my nephew, try givin him attention by asking him to help u with things and tell him he's doing a good job, he might be needing more attention then what u think, show him your really love him he might not have got it at his other home,turn the table on him , when he is doing his home work sit down with him and stay things like i no u can do it and your proud of him when he gets it write dont push so hard just be nice and dont yell at him just try and see how it goes and if it dont then try something else he might be acking out for love ////////my nephew is a handfull and i mean a handfull his mother does nothing but yell at him and talks so bad to him because he so bad at school and home to ,, but when hes hear with me i show him love and attention and hes not that bad with me and he kwons i will beat his little ass if he gets out of line ]]]]]]]]]]] ↑
