Hi chris, I would talk to the princiable about him not getting on the honor roll. He achieved good greats he should be awarded for his acomplishments . That is just not right I would defininly work on that But I would be nice about it and try to work it out but if they still don't agree I would get a note from the doctor to give to them explaining what adhd is . I know it is not easy and they should take your word for it. What they can't see physically as for a handi cap adhd in there eye's they see it as bad behavior. Because they can't see any thing on the outside which is wrong! Well needless to say your son did a great job and he worked very hard to get those grades I would be very upset too with the school . If the school dose not do any thing you should go to the newspaper put your son's picture in and say congrates to your son for getting straight A's. that way he can see what a good job he did. So ha ha to the school. ↑ |
My son is the same way. Thank god I have family my son has to cousins that are boy's that he can play with and one of them has a older brother with adhd i get alot of help from my sisterin law she is great with my son and helping me to guide the way with my son . The one thing she has told me is you have to get all the information from schools on what they can do for a child with adhd because they won't come out and tell you. so far I got a great response he is now in a social class with adhd 1st grades their is a bout 12 of them. So he is with his own kind and they teach them how to think before they do impulssive things that might hurt someone. I hope to see that it helps but I know we have a long road ahead. My sister in law her boy is 17 adhd dose really well acadiemic wise but still impulsive. He is really a good kid she has her moments but what parent dosn't with a teenage kid. I just hope my son turns out like him. I give her a hat's off she has truly inspired me. That's why I could careless what other parents thinks of my son and lable him they can do what ever they want . I just know when it cames to my son watch out because I am example for my son to look up to so I have to be strong for him so he can grow up to be strong to. ↑ |
