I tried to get all the help for my son I can get. I'm sure all you parents do the same thing. the issue I have is my son is on ritailin doing great in school. But has a problem with free time very impulssive can't control it. Sometimes I feel that he is the only child with this problem. I looked up all sort of diets they are so many for adhd and gagets to help him and charts I don't know which one to pick ? Plus durring the summer I want to take him off the med. So he can learn to control his impulssiveness also he will be in a social group with adhd kid and a phycologist. I'm not against meds. I think it has done a great job for him but I do wish he could be off of them and not have to depend on them. My husband is adhd and he had no med and he has learn to calm down at times I see the adhd in him sometimes. But I think he lerned how to control himself be cause he had no meds as a child what wil happen to my son if I keep him on the meds for a long time he might not ever learn to control himself and always have to depend on the med. With him being on med is has made it easy on all of us teachers, him, and our family. But I heard good stories and bad about med that sometimes I feel I could be jeorperdizing his health. and if that is the case I would blame myself for that judgement and could never forgive myself for hurting his health. I would really like to find a diet that could help him but as some diets only work for certain people and not for others I just want something that is 100% gaurented. Does anyone have any suggestions what I could do from diets to extra help anything?

Fish Oil capsules. Someone recommended this vitamin to me and it seems the properties work well with ADH kids. I'm no professional, but I didn't like the meds either. Look it up.

My son takes strattera to help with the melt down after the ritailin wears off. It also helps with his temper and mood swings
he's 11
