i am writing regarding you web page. I know of a woman who is going to have a baby very soon. She cannot keep the child, as she is not in a good financial position to do so. she has gone to other private agencies, but they offer her only an empty apartment and 250 per month to live on. No medical care only that they advise she go to the welfare office until the baby is born then she would have 30 days to vacate. I think that is appauling. She and the biological father are unemplyed and desparate. They need help, but they want better for the child. both biological parents are very attrative and healthy. She came to me because she knowsthat many years ago i too became pregnant at an inopportune time and did not want to get an abortion. i already had a daughter i was barly making it. i found a wonderful family in utah. She couldnt have a baby, her husband was a successful doctor. they had tried to adoptfor 5 years with no success. I dont knowwhat the expectations are as far as the financial end of things as my situation happened nearly 24 years ago. However i do know that this couple who adopted myy child provided a small but nice apartment that i kept for 4 months after the birth, they paid all my medical expences and compinsated me for carring the child 10,000 dollars. I dont think that is unreasonable It was difficult but i know in my heart that the child is probably in college ordoing something good, and had a happy life with parents that loved him and had the means to care for him in a way i never could have. anyway i explained this to my pregnant friend about this and she begged me to try and help her.

| Stephanie - if this post is genuine, which I'm not convinced it is, let me point out a couple of things. First, no reputable agency would let an expectant mom on its books go without medical care; second, while in most states PAPs are allowed to pay expenses prior to the birth, compensating someone for the birth of a child is called baby selling and is illegal - and I'm sure this was the same when your "situation" happened. ↑ |
