I have heard tha Jeb Bush was going to run for next election. His plans are supposedly to ban gay marriage and pass a law so that gay couples can't adopt, which is horrible. I'm just curious if anyone else heard that or if it's just a stupid rumor. I hope it is, I don't want another closed minded puppet in the White House.

Two things:

1. While the President can support or even bring up such legislation, it is either the people (through amendments) or the Congress that actually changes the law of the land. So, be particularly suspect of Congressmen sharing his view more than him.

2. This is what he either believes or believes is what enough of his constituency approves of. Don't vote for him if you don't like him and get others to do the same. Even better would be to work toward getting someone palatable enough to the majority to replace him and get elected...

...and, in this day and age, a Democrat isn't likely to be the best choice.

Hello Death Bunny, I was wondering if you were interested in having a political conversation. LOL, that sounds like asking someone to a duel now days. You seem very well informed on the government and I am in a quandary to my own loyalties at the moment. I am interested in an informative laid back conversation, not wanting an argument. So if you are interested let me know please. Thank you.

I feel sorry for anyone who tries to step into the next term of presidency after the chaos this ones caused. I wish Clinton could be our president again. Everything is so messed up.The war is pretty much a losing battle. Gas prices are climbing and climbing, more and more foriegners are running businesses here in America but yet they want to build a wall to keep out mexicans!!!!????? It's sad what this country has become. I'm sorry I have a child that must find his way through this mess of a world as it is today.

As it is right now, if an American visits pretty much any other country we are reccomended to say we are from Canada because of Bushs' doings. I agree with Layne, Clinton had an affair and it was a national crisis, yet Bush can start WW3 and it's no big thing. We are headed for the fall of the U.S. empire and there's nothing we can even do. It's not about votes anymore, it's about who has more money to pay off the right people and who your friends are. How very sad.

That is so true. the middle class will never see it as good as in the Clinton years. wouldnt you love to have a heart to heart with clinton and see his true feelings about the state were in.

I think he would cry. This is supposed to be the Land of Opportunity, but thanks to Bush we may as well call it The Land of Opportunity For Rich People. I liked Clinton, he was FOR the people. Bush is only for himself and his cronies. I'm very sad, our nation is doomed and our children are going to be the ones who are majorly affected by it.

I dont think it will take as long as for our children being effected. we are already seeing the housing market falling. prices rising and minium wage is not going up.
Ive heard alot of talk about the draft coming back. As of now I have 2 sons 24 yrs and 11yrs. I dont want my children fighting in a war we shouldn't be in.
Now before all you miltary wives get on here and give me heck. I support our troops. ( they need to get home)
