March 14,2000 my sister ask me to take care of her baby who is 2 months old because she is sick. (heart disease) At that time,my intention is to help my sister raise my niece. I provided baby foods and everything for my niece. That time I'm 32 years old and is single.
April 17,2000- my sister gives full custody because she is so sick and they cannot support her milk. Since then, my niece became my daughter but I did not adopt her legally. Her husband is a farmer and they got 4 other kids. They're not including her as their kid because they gave me at very young age. My sister died recently of heart disease.(July 16,2008)
I am married (4 years), we don't have plan to have our own kid because of my age, which is 40. Our plan is to adopt her so that she can stay with us.
Can anybody advice how can we start the process? How long ? ↓
