This is my first time posting. I have a 5 year-old little girl with autism. Just wanted to get some advice and share some advice regarding communication devices. Anyone else using an I-Pad to help facilitate communication with their child? Our SLP recommended Speech Button - a communication app and we've been having great success with it! anyone have any other good communication apps that they're using?

Yes! We've been using Speech Button too with great success! Our School Psychologist said it's the best starter communication app for non-verbal kids. Our little guy has been using it - he's 8 - and loves it. The website is: www.wipitup.com and there's a link to a demonstration on youtube. It's been really frustrating finding good communication apps - glad to have found speech button.

Yes, there's been lots of buzz regarding Speech Button in the autism community. I'm also using it with my little boy as recommended by his Speech Therapist. It was developed by an SLP and you can sure tell the difference between it and other communication apps not developed by a therapist. I also would recommend this app.

So glad to have found this discussion. It's been so difficult not being able to communicate with my little boy (he's 12). It was also recommended to me that I start him off using the Speech Button app and I've also been really happy with it!
