Hi there- First and formost I give you so much credit for facing this and helping your children... My neice is 3 years old and I belive has autisim- I have tried to beat around the bush with telling my brother and sister in law- I have been a nanny for 10 years and now care for her. My 16 month old son is now starting to do things that she does not. Anyway my real question is how do I tell them? I know that they know there is a problem- however they are in a great deal of denial. Any suggestions would help so much- I have even contacted their Dr. about it- but like the Dr. told me she can't do much if they don't want to- and because of laws I can't call back and ask how it went. What should I do? I am loosing sleep over it and am starting to feel like it is a form a child abuse- not getting her the help she so despratly needs.

My daughter has aspergers and we went through denial etc. I would leave it alone as what difference will it make just now? Not alot. The nursery will tell them and want them to get an assessment done. No-one wants to hear their child has something wrong with them.

CONSULT WITH THE PARENTS FIRST AND IF NOTHING HAPPENS GO TO HER DOCTOR
