My 14 year old daughter was just diagnosed with being autistic. I am a single working mom, and I am having a very diificult time!!. She throws tantrums in public, so we are at the point now where it is not safe to go out in public. She ran in front of cars twice. Her behavior is very repetitive. Everything has to be highly structured for her.She is on two medications, respiradol, and topamax. I can hardly go to work, but I have to, bills must be paid. One amazing thing, she has a photographic memory, which I think is amazing.I worry about what will happen to her if I am not around. She can communicate, but not at a 14 year old level. She has a very difficult time making friends. I really do not know what to do!!
