Autism rates seem to have surged at about the same time as the introduction of two different widespread products. Diet soda and artificial butters. Has anyone looked into this ? It seems like both these products entered public use arround the same time autism rates exploded.
Does anyone have any info whether any studies have been done on this ?

I'm sure they were many more products introduced at that time too.. I don't think autism is the result of any one product. I also think autism is very much over diagnosed these days. In days of yore, there were many children who never got a diagnosis of autism as many doctors had no idea what ot was.. now almost any kids who doesn't follows the norms in ECD, get labeled with Autism Spectrum Disorder!
Hence a huge rise!
