My 6 year old will not sleep in his own bed. Me and my new husband have yet to share our bed since getting married. My son used to sleep in his own cot but as soon as he could he came to me and says he is scared. I have even got two single beds together so that he cna sleep right next to his brother and he still wants to sleep with me. We have done what we can for an easy life and to get sleep, but enough now, he needs to be in his own bed. Please help :)

I was told by a friend and an ABA person that this is common with ASD children. Wish my wife and I could find a remedy too.

I bought two soft toys. One big and one small. Let the big toy cuddle the little toy. I told him one is mum and another is him. Mum cuddle him and go to sleep with him. He looked after them everyday when he slept by himself.

I would agree with Edward in this. This sort would certainly have a positive impact on ASD kids on a longer go. Try out the same trick.
