I am a mum of 2 autistic boys from the UK, I am lucky in a way that my 5 year old is not as severe as my 4 year old, because we struggle to cope as it is.
I have read all the posts under the heading 'autistic teens, 20'2 30's etc' just to try and get an insight into whether my child could improve.
It has given me great insight and I think that I have been kidding myself that alot of the behaviours would stop. He does all the things that your son does and I will try and accept that these things may not change.
It is so very hard though, especially copeing with the frustrations your child feels.
I have said before and will say it again that I have great respect for everyone who has a severely autistic adult/young adult and who has still managed to keep their sanity.
I hope I can gain just a little strength from how far you have made it to this far.
