I am a teacher in New York that works with autistic kids. Does he just pull your hair or is he aggressive, angry, or violent when he does it? It sounds like he is may have something associated with severe tactile sensory simulation. Are you aware of any other sensory issues? If you can't wain him off the behavior you may have to try substituting your hair for some other tactile stimulation. Cutting your hair or tying it up is another option. I'm not sure I can help you or not. When my son is two and a half years old, he pulls my hair because he likes me. Then my speech pathology teach me to teach him to gentle touch my face to express he loves me. Every time when he pull my hair, we let him touch my face then when he did it, we award him. ↑ |
