Hi everyone :)

I just wanted to ask any of you experienced ladies...

I want to breastfeed exclusively for about a year. I plan on breastfeeding for the first 2 months and every other week or day or so since I have to do things like go to work for 2 hours a week or some errands and my mom is taking care of her...will she accept the bottle if I pump my breastmilk?

Should I alternate breastfeeding and breastmilk in a bottle to gether used to it? Or will she accept it gladly when it's offered to her?

I plan on doing mostly like 90% breastfeeding...it's just those few times... I want to use the pump...

well when my son was 6 weeks he was fine taking a bottle so i didnt try it for ages and jst assumed he would do it now hes 3 months and wont touch a bottle i think were hes used to breast hes jst not intrested in a bottle. i think if u keep intruducing it then ure baby should switch between the 2.

i wouldn't introduce the bottle any earlier than 6 weeks though. if you do you are at risk of nipple confusion which can ruin your nursing relationship. every baby is different. mine was like jo's and wouldn't take a bottle. my best friend's little girl took one like a champ everytime. it is hard to tell without trying. if you can't get him/her to take one then you should check out jo's post. i posted some good links on there.

i remember my doctor said that the mother would have a harder time giving a bottle than getting it from lets say the father or grandmother or someone other than yourself. When he/she is with you they expect a boob and when they don't get it they get confused. I would first wait at least 6 weeks and then introduce the bottle if you must, but get someone other than yourself to do it!!
