| WORTH IT BIG TIME!!! Definitely go. Breastfeeding is not as natural as one may think. This class gives you the edge to, if nothing else, feel more comfortable with your ability to breastfeed. Congratulation on your decision. You are doing an amazing thing for both of you. If you ever need anything drop in we are happy to give support, advice, whatever. Good Luck! ↑ |
Thanks ladies!! I have had a few girlfriends that have had a hard time with it, and it has made me kind of nervous. I want nothing more than to be able to breast feed my baby. These boobs better be able to feed my child!! :) they have been just hanging around doing nothing for all these years!! :)
Do you think that I should bring by husband along or not? ↑ |
Nah I would let him stay at home. I made DH go to everything but that one. If your DH is not quite sure about it or will be giving you a hard time maybe think about bringing him so that he can be educated and support you. If he is supporting you on your decision I would definitely say leave him at home. Also don't worry even if you have problems we can fix them. Obsticales are easily hurtled.
I hear ya on the boobie thing. I always said I didn't carry these bad boys around for this many years not to use them. LOL! You'll do just fine. There is a learning curve for everyone so it may take some time for all to be in sync but you will be just fine!! ↑ |
| It's funny, I didn't take hubby to breastfeeding class, but they went over some stuff in our other classes and he observed while they were trying to teach me at the hospital, and he could get our baby latched on better than I could. I'd be sitting there crying because I couldn't get it right and he'd just come over and latch her on like a pro. ↑ |
| CLasses and talking to mothers who have already nursed isa great help! Get ALL the education you can on it, then when something happens you are informed :) And I say take the husband. This last baby, of 4, has been the hardest to breastfeed. It was like starting from the beginning and my husband has been the biggest encouragement. When I wanted to quit he said no, get some help, he was sure I could do it. And now I am! Thanks also to mamal's advice :) and advice from LLL. ↑ |
You should also locate a La Leche League meeting before and after you deliver they will be your best source of encouragement. Go to www.llli.org and under breastfeeding help it will give you options to find a local lll meeting.
LLL Leader, hope you have a great delivery! ↑ |
