I don't think there are too many people using the b/f forum, so I thought it would be nice to introduce ourselves, especially since I'm kind of new to it. thanks

Hello and Welcome!! I'm 24 years old, been married for 4 years and have an 8 month old daughter named Anika, AND 21 weeks pregnant with a boy!! YAY...anyways....i'm not breastfeeding anymore, only because my body stopped producing milk when I got pregnant. Had I known that was possible, hubby and I would have been a bit more careful, as I wanted to breastfeed for at least a year. We're excited to be having a second baby. We wanted to have 2 close together....just didn't know it would be THIS close. anyways, I plan to breastfeed this next one as long as possible!!! ttyl!!

Wow, that's amazing how close the three of us are in age, what are the chances?! Thanks for the intros. and the advice you've already given me, very helpful. Melissa I think it's great that you're still b/f your 15 month old and plan to continue. I keep hearing from so many people who stop before a year, even after only like 6 months, what's the rush I say. I'm going to aim for at least a year, then see where we go from there. I know I'm going to wean her slowly, when she seems ready. I also hate those people who think it's ok to breastfeed for 11 months and 30 days but all a sudden it's not okay at 12 months. Congratulations on your new pregnancy bmes! I hope to plan mine around 2yrs apart, but who knows, things can happen, obviously! lol

Hi my name is jill I am 27 and married. I have a son who is 9 and a step son who is 8. I am currently 30.5 weeks pregnant. We are expecting our little girl Kendra to come around march 24th. I did not breast feed my first child. As you can see I was pretty young when I had him and I just felt too akward. I have since learned all of the wonderful benefits of breastfeeding and hope to nurse this baby for at least the first year. I did have a breast reduction in 2000 so that may prevent me from being successful, but I have been doing lots of research so I can be as prepared as I can. It is nice meeting all of you.
