I've been breastfeeding for a few months now, and I am very happy with my choice. This is my first child, so I was very concerned with doing everything right. But so far, so good. I have been suffering from headaches lately though...stress related or something...and was wondering if it's okay to take aspirin or painkillers while breastfeeding? Anybody know?

It should be okay although I would try to stay away from really powerful stuff. I always used this as my rule of thumb: if I could take it during pregnancy, I can take while breastfeeding (and vice versa)

Regular strength Tylenol or Acetaminophen is ok to take while nursing. Be sure to dring plenty of water. If it continues, you should talk with your doctor.

Tylenol is okay to take. My doctor said anything over the counter is okay, but I avoided Aleve and such. What I took while pregnant is what I'll take while nursing.
