My daughter is 10 weeks old and I was never able to get an adeqaute milk supply b/c I got very sick after giving birth and I wasn't eating well...I have just recently got my supply back up, but I'm still not able to bf exclusively...I had to take my daughter to a GI and she wants me to cut my diet down to essentially nothing in order to see of something in my diet is making her digestive issues worse. I cut out caffeine, which was very hard by the way, and I also started drinking lactose-free milk, but I'm finding it hard to eat enough calories that way. Has anyone been through this before? I'm also finding it difficult to eat enough...my dr. said I need to be taking in like 2,000 clories...I know it sounds selfish but I'm not going to be able to be super-skinny again while breasfeeding...I'm used to earting 1100 cals but when I did that I almost dried up...I want to continue breastfeeding but I also want to be a size 4 again, which I know I could easily do if I stopped eating enough to produce milk.
