It will be just fine for him. Breastmilk can't really go bad when it comes straight from the tap. Have you been continuing to pump during his 'off' time? ↑
no but still have quite alot and really want to go back to it. ↑
In the thread "New here... got a question" I also included links to relactation which may also be helpful. ↑

Hey there - I was wondering if I could get your opinions. My daughter is 4 weeks and I am expressing for her to feed as when we were in hospiltal - I had some severe nipple pain and could not get her to latch on properly and then she had to have a body brace fitted and positioning became difficult. I am expressing exclusivley and have only had to supplement with formula twice. I was wondering though, when her brace comes of at 8 weeks if it would be worth trying her on the breast aGain. Will the pain be just as bad as it was at first or should the expressing have toughened them up a little? they seem to sit out more then they did as I had completley flat nipples to start with. ANY ADVISE WOULD BE GREAT ↑
Congratulations on pumping that is great! Definitely give it another go. There are many women who have to do just what you are doing and getting them back on usually is not a problem. It may take a little bit of patience and time but you can definitely do it and I would recommend it highly.
The pain should not be as bad, just make sure if it hurts unlatch and try again until the latch is right. Never let baby nurse with a bad latch that causes those sore nipples. The pumping has definitely gotten you past that newness of the breastfeeding feeling (the normal soreness felt at the beginning).
Here is a site for getting baby back to the breast. This should help.
