I need advice. My eight week old son always has to nurse himself to sleep. It's usually just five minutes and then he's snoozing. Which is great for now but he'll start daycare in five weeks and nursing for his two daytime naps won't be an option. Any thoughts? The only other hting that works real well is if he's in a baby bjorn but that's not an option at daycare either. I'll continue to breastfeed/provide breast milk to daycare. It's just the nursing to suck/settle that I need help with. The pacifier doesn't work :) Is he just too young to try to help him settle himself?

There is some wonderful information for you in the link below. Don't worry he will do just fine. Most places have dealt with this and often. They can swaddle and hold baby close while feeding the bottle. He will do great! Also bravo on pumping and continuing to feed him breastmilk! You are an amazing mama and woman!!!

How will baby go to sleep when I'm not there to nurse him, or after he weans?
Many moms are worried about how baby will go to sleep when he enters daycare or weans, and feel that they must teach baby to sleep independently before this time. This is really not necessary, and can add lots of stress to something that is already a big transition for baby . Babies are *very* adaptable and will find new ways to go to sleep when mom is not there. Baby and his other caregiver(s) will work things out just fine, and they will find new ways to comfort baby that work great for both of them. The same will happen when baby weans
