HELP! My daughter is almost 7 wks and has breastfed from day one. I read several places not to give her a bottle or anything until milk supply was good (or about 4-6 wks.) So now, I cant get her to take a bottle at all. My husband and I have both tried for the last week or so and all she does is scream, like we're killing her or something. We think she's colicy, too, which doesnt help. I have bought 4 different types of nipples, nothing seems to help. Luckily I dont "have" to work, but it would help if I could. I cant even leave her with my husband for more than 30 minutes or so immediately after I feed her, in case she gets hungry, since he cant feed her. I've got milk frozen in the freezer in hopes of someday.....If anybody has ANY ideas, PLEASE help...I'm all out.

Try being out of sight while your husband or someone tries. My son was the same way, but would do it if I wasn't around (although he was never really crazy about it!) We used a NUK nipple, which is supposed to be the closest. If you are out of sight they don't see that the alternative is available if they cry enough!!

You poor thing. I know how you feel. It took several different trips to the store before I found the nipple my daughter would take. Don't give up. Maybe try to find ones that don't let a whole lot through at once. Also, try to have your husband give her the bottle. She knows that you have the breastmilk! Good luck.
