Hello, i can't see when you originally posted this but women are able to produce milk prior to the second trimester. I am pregnant and started to produce milk at around 7weeks.
The midwife said that around 40% of pregnant women can start to lactate in their first trimester. It is all to do with a womens prolactine levels (hormone secreted from the pituitary gland).

Also when it comes to working out how long someone has been pregnant for the first day is calculated from the first day of the woman's last period. So if she had a period then first slept with you 8 weeks ago then she could be as much as 10-11weeks pregnant with it being your child. This is because a general period lasts 7 days then a woman ovulates-depending on the length of a cycle can be around 6-14days after the period (some women do have a lighter period when first pregnant so you would need to clarify with the docs)

Hope this has helped!!

I am 5 months and have been lactating for some time. Although there are some medications that can cause lactation and I was still slightly lactating from the birth of my 2 year old daughter so it entirely depends on the person
