I would ask my medical provider for their advice. Good job for stopping smoking. As long as your nipples were to heal by the time you gave birth I don't see why you couldn't nurse. Like I said ask your medical provider their opinion. ↑
Kelly, thanx for you reply ill do that at my next appt.. ↑
Many hospitals also have lactation consultants you can call for questions. I am a NICU nurse and I know even ones with implants can breastfeed so I would think it would be okay. But call and ask a lactation consultant! Good job quitting smoking for you and your baby!! ↑
QUESTION for you 'doctor babbie' what on earth do you mean by 'privatorial'????
My concern would be a Dr. who does not know how to spell after 7 years at uni!!
Kelly and Michele have the right advice, see your midwife Tonita she will know. By the way I am also 14 weeks, congratulations on your pregnancy, due date early March? ↑ |
these women are right, something could have happened because of scar tissue ot something else, best person to ask would be your doctor or midwife. ↑
I had both my nipples pierced and breatfed my first son successfully. My friend also had her nipples pierced and breastfed both of her children without any problems. I don't forsee any problems. Actually most of my friends have their nipples pierced some of them chose not to breastfeed but it wasn't because they couldn't. ↑

I had one of my nipples pierced and talked to my lactation consultant and she said it wouldn't be a problem. However I kept it in until right before I had the baby so that it wouldn't be open to bacteria and soap building up inside.I've had no problems, he's 11 months old and still breastfeeding. good luck ↑
