Hi there, I have 5 month old twin boys who I am breastfeeding and I am wondering when my periods are likely to come back? I really want to try for another baby (a girl!!) and am not sure how long it will take?
Does anyone have any experience of this?
thanks
Teresa

It's a crap shoot. Everyone is different when it comes to getting the period back. But your chances for conception are considerably higher after the 6 month point when breastfeeding. Congratulations on breastfeeding! & Twins at that Way to go mama!!!!

Wow, that's excellent that you're breastfeeding your twins! I really admire you. Well, like Mamal said, it's different for everyone, but I'm still nursing my 13 month old and my periods returned after 9 months. That was when she started to really nurse less and eat more and more solids. I just started ttc, myself. Good Luck!

My son is 11 months old and I just stopped breastfeeding. I still haven't had a period since before I was pregnant...
