| You could undue the top of the dress instead and use a blanket or nursing cover/bib to cover your top. You can also buy dresses with nursing openings, however, I've never seen one that I've liked. I was never big on nursing in front of too many people, I usually went to a different room or the car or something. It distracted my daughter too much also to eat in public. Good Luck. ↑ |
| would you bottle feed at all? you could substitute formula just this once!!! i did plenty of times!! but only because my daughter took both.. some babies wont take formula if they are breastfed! ↑ |
At two weeks I would definitely stay away from the bottles & formula. The recommended time is to wait 6 weeks before introducing a bottle to avoid nipple confusion. Formula at this early juncture, unfortunately can set you up for failure. It is also quite harsh on a bf baby's stomach.
I attended my brothers wedding while breastfeeding. I ordered a dress from motherwear.com but it just didn't fit the occasion but they do have some that may. What I ended up doing was wearing a dress that I could pull down and I wore a larger cardigan that I kept buttoned at the neck so it made sort of a drape and that covered basically anything anyone would have seen. A good way to check is to breastfeed in front of a mirror in what you are planing to wear and take a look and adjust what is needed. This way you will feel confident in BIP.
And a big congratulations on breastfeeding. You are giving your child an amazing start to life!!! Have a great time at the wedding. ↑ |
Hi Mames10,
I know exactly how u feel. When I had my first child, I also had difficulty looking for nice dresses for special occassions.
But lucky for me, I found this website called www.mothersenvogue.com. It has really nice dresses as well as comfortable t-shirts. Do take a look at it.
If im not wrong the name of the boutique is Mothers en Vogue.
GOOD LUCK MAMES!! ↑ |
