Hi I'm Amber I'm only 16 wks but I want to nurse after I have my baby. My questions are do you need different bottles to express ou milk? Also I will be going back to work after my maternity leave so do I need to nurse her from my breast and then switich to bottle when I return to work or should I nurse her with bottle the whole time.

Expressed milk can go into whatever bottle you choose. I have heard that the Dr Brown's were good but they have a lot of parts to clean. I never used a bottle so I am not the best on that advice, I'm sorry.
You will most likely want to breastfeed and then go to the bottle once you are back at work. 'They' say to wait 6 wks before introducing the bottle due to nipple confusion but I know plenty of women that use both bottle and breast from a few weeks out and do fine.
You will want to look into getting a good pump. Pump in Style by Medela is an excellent one. Also renting one from the hospital is a good idea until you get use to it all. Make sure you start pumping as soon as possible so that you can start building your supply for when you go back to work.
Congratulations on your decision to nurse. It is such an amazing gift you are giving to your precious one & yourself as well.

Thanks for the advice this is my 1st baby and I don't have a clue about what I doing. I'm an only child and my mom passed away when I was 9 mths, so everything is new scary and exciting for me

I too pump and feed. It is very difficult, but rewarding at the same time. The best bottles I have found thus far are the vent air.. I think by playtex.. My son does very well with them and they fit on the medella pump.. Make sure you start with a stage 1 nipple.. the others are too much flow.. By the way. We started rice cereal and the bottles can be used for that too...

I'm still nursing my 9 1/2 month old, and occasionally I pump and give her a bottle if were out somewhere. I really like the playtex nurser bottles. The nipples seem the most like real ones. I use an Avent manual breast pump. I've also tried a Gerber electric pump, but I prefer the manual one. But, I only pump a few times a month or so on average. Good luck on nursing. It's really the best for your baby and I truly enjoy the closeness of nursing my daughter.

I love the Ventair bottles, Tyler is 2 months old and i pump if we go out so i don't have to throw a blanked over my shoulder, but hes fine with the bottle and the breast. and only give him/her a bottle if you need to.. ie if your at work
