i know many women that continue to take prenatal vitamins for years and years after children because it makes your nails and hair prettier. it also has alot of calcium.
as far as birth control there is a birth contorl pill commonly called the mini pill. it only has progestron(sp?) in it instead of a combo of horomones. that is what i took but you have to take it the same time everyday (usually within a 3 hr window) or else it won't work. it doesn't affect your milk supply at all. i know quite a few women that have had teh IUD's and love them. they do not affect your milk supply at all. how old is your baby? some women can take the regular birthcontol pill after the baby is a little older and their supply is well established. it affects some womens supply more than others and some it will completly dry up. that is why they don't suggest using it. hope some of this helped. ↑ |
| My baby is actually not out yet :) he is due this month on the 28th , I don't want to go back on the pill or am unsure at this point because i had so many complications the first time , break through bleeding once a month on top of a reguluar period , extra cramping loss of sex drive, tried several diffrent kinds and still didn't work. ↑ |
| well i have heard good things about the IUD. i don't have insurance or anything so i can't afford anything like that. i would just talk to your doctor at your 6 wk appt and see what they think. ↑ |
I have a copper IUD and it hasn't caused me any problems at all. It's my second one. My first one was removed so that I could concieve.
Give it a try. If you don't like it then you can always have it removed. It isn't painful. When they insert it, you may feel a little cramping, but that's all. Go to a doctor who's experienced in inserting them. It's a bit like having a PAP smear. ↑ |
