I've been a step mother to my husbands two children for two years now. There mother hasn't seen them since late 2006. Now she has enrolled herself in rehab for multiple drug and alcohol addictions and has started calling every night. I'm having difficulty letting go of all of the frustration I've built up over her for these past two years. All of a sudden she is trying to be mother of the year and wants to be a part of the childrens lives again. I know I should be more supportive but it's very difficult especially since I have always been the middle man because my husband and her can not even have a phone conversation with out fighting and hanging up on each other. Luckily the parenting plan is pretty explict with what is required of her to be able to see the kids but unfortunately we have to take them to see her in rehab this weekend. Has anyone else here ever had to deal with something like this? This is miserable. ↓
