Hi! Just needed to vent some today. Feeling frustrated...no, pissed!!! Does anyone know how long it takes CSE to put a modification into effect? We went to court Nov. 29th. (original filing date was Sept 7th) Judge signed, sealed and delivered paperwork for modification. Attorney sent us a copy 1st week in Dec. Last week we called attorney to make arrangements to pay on our remaining $825 of $1825 that was spent. (x was playing games) We asked what was happening with mod. He claims the "ball" is now in CSE court! WT*??!!! And, also said he could start more proceedings to get this done! Excuse me?? Didn't we just pay your ass for just this??? I guess it's sitting in some pile somewhere!

We filed for the stupid modification because we've been paying for 3 children 2 who are of age and have been moved out for a long time. Is there no mercy? Do we not need the f'n money? Especially for a man who has been taking care of his kids since birth??? Oh yeah, they would have done an emergency modification if she needed it for the kid!! Does anyone know how to deal with CSE. They won't give us time of day, cuz we're the working class stiffs!! To those who read this thanks! Sorry about language. I tried to curb alot of it!! Just needed to vent.

Sorry lory! I really don't know much about CSE. As far as the ball being in the CSE court,I agree with you 1,000 % that WTF? What the hell does the lawyer think you paid him for?! I'd almost stop payment on that check if it's not too late until the matter is fully resolved!!!! I would have not paid him off until things were complete and you were satisfied with the turnout. If he has alreday cashed your money though I guess all you can do now is wait it out. Maybe be on the phone with CSE everyday in hopes they will bring your case to the top of their pile to get it resolved sooner rather than later. Outside of that I don't know what more you can do! Sorry!

Lory----So sorry this is happening to ya. It's takes time just like everything else. I, too, am trying to do a modification. I was told it takes 30-45 days but if you have an attorney handling this, you would think he/she should be able to get something done in a timely manner? It all boils down to paying them more money for time hardly spent. Well, give it a couple of weeks and then make your phone calls. Keeping calling everyday until you are standing on their last nerve to get things done. Sometimes, being the squeaky wheel is what makes it turn. Geez, what a way to start a new year off, huh???? Hopefully, all will get settled soon. Hey, if your husband has paid monies for the children after the age of 18, shouldn't he be entitled to some credit back? I truly don't know but I was just wondering? Anyways, you take care and hope things will move quickly.

Hi tweetbird4! In the state of CO. you cannot get credit if you have paid past age of 19. It's the parents responsibility to get the modification at that time. If you let it go, .like we did... it's on you. But, on a more positive note. You can usually get modification retro-active back to original date of filing. But, again in our case. It will only be retro back to Nov. 1st. (x is a great whiner, talker in court.) Modification was supposed to have taken effect Dec.1st, with her support being less for a year making so called small payments on the overage. It still hasn't taken effect. So I don't know how the overage will work for month of Dec. I will say this...they better be cutting us a check for it, or they will know me down there at 'ol CSE well!!
Anyway, trying to stay positive about the whole deal! I will not let it take hold of us again!! Thanks for your support! I don't think I would have "re-grouped" as quick without all of you ladies support and being able to vent here!
