| I am child myself and want to help families like you. I am 14 and very wise fore my age. I use to have a problem with my step mom because I felt like she was just tring to take my mother's place. It made me made to see my step mother and my dad making out all the time and I wondered why couldn't my mom and dad be that way. | I understand these post but what I don't understand is why someone feels like the step parent is to put up with such behavior a marriage involves a union of a husband and wife and if they are both providing for that child they should be able to put the disrepectful child in their place moreso the father no matter how one tries to sugar coat it spouses deserve respect and especially in blended families because if one child gets away with it the rest will do the same thing so I disagree with some of these post although I do feel being a chrisitain adult should be more understanding which is true but it doesn't give the child the right to disrespect the spouse what type of message does that send to the married couple if the kids are dealig with the other parent not being around the best person to talk to is that parent and not blame the prent and step parent for wanting a happy life for all involved if the children choose to although I love all my kids my bio kids will under no circumstance disrespect my spouse because when the kids are grown and gone with their lives I ill still be honoring vows with my spouse o it;s not ok but if the child doesn't want help he only suggestion is prayer just because parents have a blended family they deserve the right to happiness as well and if the child isn't happy with them stay with the other parent for a while your parent will always be your parent but they also have a right to live theirlife as well ! ↑ |
