I am remarried, unfortunately to a man who is controlling and does not give me access to his checking account. He makes very good money and does shop and provide for our family, but only for what HE thinks should be purchased, etc. He intentionally did not add me to the account and does not give me an allowance. Our marriage has been rocky to say the least. My question is...I get child support from a previous marriage, do I have to give it to my husband to put into living expenses? He makes well enough money to support us, but is my child support HIS entitlement?

Any advice is much appreciated.

NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!! Your child support is for you to support your child!!!!!!!!!! You need to talk to your husband about his controlling ways and try to find out why he is the way he is -- Did you know he was like this beforehand? If so, why did you get into this situation in the first place? A marriage has to be 100% and 100% on both parts not 99% and 1% this is 2007 almost 2008 not the 1800's anymore!!! Your child support again is to support your child with needs as YOU see fit not your new husband!!!!! Step back and take a look at the big picture and see if it can be fixed, and if not get help or get out before things get more out of hand.
