I'd go to court. That way you know things are done fairly and they will automatically set an amount for child support. ↑ |
At least consult an attorney to make sure that you get what you deserve. If the papers are to your liking then let him sign it. The last thing you would want would be for him to get an attorney and make it worse for you. ↑ |
i would consult an attorney first. its really what the kids want. do they want to see their father or are they too young? again the best advice would be from an attorney ↑ |
By just signing papers that he has had his attorney draw up, you give up your right to be represented by an attorney. Most attorneys will actually have you sign a form saying that you do give up rights to legal representation and will agree to the terms presented to you by his attorney. You could find yourself in a fix because his lawyer is there to look out for the best interests of his client- your husband. Don't be fooled into thinking that this attorney would make things 'fair' for both of you. He also owes you back child support for 4 yrs if you want to pursue getting that. You can also get more than the minimum childsupport required if you go through a good attorney who is willing to fight for you. Stand up for yourself, and pay the money for an attorney now so you can get PAID in the future. GOOD LUCK!!!!! ↑ |
PLEASE go to court, get child support and alimony! ↑ |
