I'm 17 and found out I was pregnant last week. I'd be more comfortable with the idea if just my boyfriend and I were involved, but since we just graduated from high school in May, parents have more of a say in what we do.
My parents are divorced and both remarried several years ago. I found out last Tuesday that I am pregnant, and I told my mom and her husband on the following Thursday. Now I'm visiting my dad's family and I have to tell him sometime this week. My stepfather flipped out and threatened my boyfriend then turned on me- it was a nightmare. And that incident made me even more petrified to talk to my dad. It's been about a week since my missed period, and I'm probably around three or four weeks along.
My boyfriend is postponing his college start date to stay in our hometown with me while I go to the community college (instead of my own "dream school"). We haven't talked about adoption yet, or if we want to keep the baby. But I am dead against abortion.
Don't really know what I'm asking, maybe just support, a quick comment that I won't die...

PLEASE tell him do NOT wait...go to college and you do the same!!! If you both get a degree it will be better for your child. It is a whole lot harder to start once you have kids!!! I have a friend that had a baby when she was 15 and she became a nurse and makes really good money. I wanted to be a lawyer and when I had children that put all my attention on them....Now at 37 I don't feel like I can go back. I am also ADOPTED and there is nothing wrong with that! I met the woman that gave birth to me when I was 21 and she and I are good friends. I love her like a cousin or friend. Granted my parents will ALWAYS be my PARENTS, no one can ever take their place. Raising children is the hardest thing ever and you will need all of your families support whatever you decide. I too do not believe in abortion. If you choose to give the baby for adoption you are giving them and your baby a BEAUTIFUL gift, and there are open adoptions. if I can help let me know
