Ok well I was due on Saturday the 6th and my stubborn little boy decided he is really just not ready. Well so they called me today and and told me that they want to induce me tomorrow, I have so many many mixed emotions, I am so nervous for the induction, so excited to finally come face to face with the wonderful little boy that has been in my belly for so long, and so anxious about everything else. Has anyone else ever had to be induced? How was it? I hear different things. I hear that it is really painful and then I hear that it isnt that bad.

Hey hun, I really hope it goes ok for you. Although i only have the one baby, i have to admit it was a bit of a nightmare birth! Everybody's experience is different and you just have to go with it i'm afraid. My labour lasted 19.5 hours and i was determined not to have an epidural but after about 15 hours I just had to. Know there is pain relief out there, but its up to you totally. Then again you hear of women being induced and maybe an hour later they have their lil babies in their arms. Either way, no matter what you go though, I promise you it is all worth it in the end when you have your baby :-) Does your little man have a name yet? (http://www.bounty.com/babynames/ is a great place to look) Best of luck sweetie, and I really can't wait for your birth story, let us know how it all goes! Finger and toes crossed for you and your little boy!

Hey there bounty, well my little man arrived James Deagan he is beautiful and a very big 8lb 13oz 20 inches long. He was born last Tuesday the 9th at 3:12 pm I was only in labor for 5 hours but the last hour was the longest and most painful hour of my life, my 1st labor with my daughter was nothing compared to this, I got induced at about 8:30 am and started contracting at 11:30 nothing serious and then about 2:30 I started getting those terrible contractions that felt like I was being ripped apart, I was crying and asking for the epidural after two strong doses of stadol which did not work, and while the anesthiesologist was on his way up I started pushing and only pushed 5 times and here was my big little guy! I would not ever ever reccomend anyone to get induced!
