i've hear that a little bit of bleeding does may not mean you've misscarried. But you should just go to your doctor and ask they will be mor than happy to help. I have had a misscarriage and I was about a month and a half pregnant, I didn't have to get any type of procedure to help it along it just bled out. If you are misscarrying, I'm sorry for your loss and I hope that you have better luck next time. ↑
You go through alot of pain when having a miscarriage also, so if you're not in any pain I would question wether you were having a miscarriage or not. Go see your doctor right away though. ↑
hey ladies.when someone miscarrys....what exactly happens....symptoms.....and like...does the baby actually come out of my vagina? i am clueless. ↑

I had a miscarriage back in April of 2005 at 6 weeks. I started out bleeding light brown blood and with in two days it became bright red and I had severe cramping. I lost the baby that day and not to sound gross but I passed some tissue and possibly the sac as well. It was painful and I lost alot of blood. I was able to allow my body to release it all without having to have a dnc. Hope this info is usefull. ↑
Hi Lisa, I was bleeding too when I pregnant my 1st baby. I know how scared and sad you feel. how long is your bleeding (How many days?) if it is more than 2days please see your doctor. they will help you. if you only bleeding for 1 day I guess it should be ok, and also still you have to msee you doctor to ensure that your pregnancy is in good condition. Take a good care of yourself. :) ↑
i would go to docs i bled with my first and got a hormone injection she is now 8 ↑
Is this blood bright red or brownish, and are getting any pain? but as you are worried call your doctor straight away. Good Luck ↑
With my first son I bled very heavily around my 10th week for 3 days. I thought I was having my period because I didn't know I was pregnant. Shortly afterward I found out I was pregnant and was very concerned about this bleeding and none of the doctors were concerned at all. I would still tell your doctors but from what I here bleeding can be normal in the first trimester. ↑
if your only 4 weeks pregnant, that doesnt mean you miscarried, some women still have their periods. ↑
I just found out i am pregnant, i have been feeling a little crampy in the pelvic area. I am worried that I am going to have a miscarry. Did any of you stil feel crampy. I have not seen any blood yet. I am about 5 weeks along. ↑
hey sweetie just to let ya know, i'm due in feb. and still from time to time i have occasional cramping. Don't worry it's completely normal. ↑
I didn't know i was pregnant, i was on the pill and was due for my periods. I started bleeding as normal but that night i woke up in pain and bleeding fairly heavy i went and changed and went back to sleep. The next morning i found a sack like thing on my pad. Did i have a miscarriage. I'm so shocked and confused. ↑
Hi, I lost a bub at 6 weeks gestational age. Is just like a period but a bit heavier. Get it checked out by ultrasound to make sure that your body passes out everything by itself. Best of luck for the future. ↑
Bleeding doesn't always indicate miscarriage is about to happen. Call your doctor and in the meantime keep your feet elevated and try not to move unless you have to, All the best Bx ↑
i also hear that it's sometimes common to blead/spot during ur expetant period would have been, if u feel a drop in ur hormone levels, i.e arnt feeling sick, have more energy and feel that something simply isnt right than i would urge you to seek medical advise. i had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks. i did not bleed nor was i in any pain, i found out at my 12 week dating scan that there was no heart beat, i underwent a dnc twice as the first was not sucessful. if you are in any doubt, please go and see you doctor if nothin else to put ur mind at ease.. somethimes you will misscary normally and somethimes for what ever reason the embrio does not expell itself properly, it varies from preson to person! ↑
Lisa, like the other girls said, a little bleeding can be normal, but it's still a good idea to see the dr. I had a miscarriage and it's like a heavy period with heavy heavy pain... after the bleeding ends (a few days) they have to check you levels of hormones to make sure that all the tissue is out... I had to go get blood drawn for several weeks after. Good luck and hope this doesn't happen to you. ↑
Like Hannah, I was 12wks pregnant with no pain but I had some slight spotting. I had it on and off for a few weeks. Each time I went to my GP or Er, they told me it was ok coz there was no pain.
I demanded an u/sound (they'd refused to help me for 3wks of bleeding!) and at 12wks, there was an almost empty sac. So, I was miscarrying with little blood loss and no pain at all.
Please get it checked out. While some spotitng is ok, alot isnt. With my son, I bled til 6mnths but he was fine. Get it checked out hun. ↑ |
Hi Everyone,
I'm currently 4 1/2 months pregnant with my second child. I have been reading quite a lot about bleeding in the 1st trimester.
It took us 2 years to get pregnant with my first child. When I finally got pregnant with my son, (almost two now) I had bleeding (heavy like your second day of your period) for 48 hours at 12 weeks pregnant. I was extremely frightened and rushed to hospital. The bleeding never came back and I think it was caused by heavy lifting, which I was doing the day earlier. I ended up carry him to full term with no other complications.
Then I had a miscarriage last year in the 6-7 weeks of pregnancy. No symtoms, except that my nausea had vanished quickly. No cramping or bleeding until I was about 9 weeks along. And I had a D&C donee and it was the most frightening thing I've ever been through. The cramping and bleeding was so bad, pretty much it was worse then labour pains! At least when you're in labour, you get to bring home a bundle of joy!
Finally, I got pregnant again (currently 4 1/2 months along now). This pregancy has been a roller coaster. I started to have light pink spotting 10 days after ovulation. I thought it was my period coming. It lasted for 2 1/2 days (on and off) always pink and light in colour. Then, I continued to see the pink bleeding once a week for a day. By the time I was 6 weeks along, I started to have pinkish/reddish spotting every three days. At 7 weeks, I started to pass small blood clots and the bleeding turned red.
I thought I was definately having another a miscarriage! I went in for an ultrasound at 7 weeks and there was a heart beat!!
The bleeding continued on and off until I was 11 weeks along and I was placed on bed rest for 1 month (from 9 weeks until 13 weeks). I had been suffering extremely bad nausea and some vomiting for 4 months, but this is good becuase it meant the baby was healthy! With my miscarriage, I started to have nausea, but then it disappeared, so I knew something was wrong.
For all of you out there who have been going through similar situations, don't give up hope! We still cannot believe our baby has made it this far. This baby is truly a miracle angel and we cannot wait until he/she is born! Just go to church and pray for a miracle. I did that with my first son when I couldn't get pregnant and I did it again this time!
Good Luck!

Hi my name is Jessica. I have had 3 miscarriages, I know if your blood is red then it is concidered new blood; and thats not good. If it is brown or pink it might not mean anything bad. But if you have cramping along with the bleeding then you need to call your Dr. The only time they really go in and do a D&C (when they remove the baby) is when the baby died inside you or you were aorund 8 weeks or further just to get the remaiing daead cells out. I've had two D&C. My first miscarriage the baby came out on its own I was 6 weeks; the other two had D&C. The babys died inside of me there hearts just stopped beating. I was 8 weeks with the second and 10 weeks with the third. Now i have a 19 month old daughter and I'm due in Feb. Having another girl; so if I had to do it all over again I would. So I hope some of this helped you and I wish you all the best. ↑
hi,
i have had a second miscarry this year the last one was 2 weeks ago, i was nearly 12 weeks , for the past week i have been having terible thoughts about something hapening to my 4 year old son and i am scared of letting him sleep on his oun has that ever hapend to anyone? ↑ |
I hear that a little bit of bleeding does may not mean you've misscarried. Go to the doctor and ask they will be more than happy to help. ↑
Go to the doctor fr your safety and goodluck. ↑
Bleeding does not always mean miscarriage. Many times women will bleed early in their pregnancies, however if you feel like you are having a miscarriage the option is always open to go to the doctor or hospital to get checked out. They can help you get through the pain and they can make sure the miscarraige is complete. No matter what set up an appointment to see your Doctor or Midwife ASAP. ↑
I am pregnant with my third child, my second baby is 11 months old. Before I had her I had three miscarries in one year. the first was at 4/5 weeks, the second was at 18 weeks, and the third was 6 weeks. two of which needed a D&C.
I am in my 7th week now with this baby, and last night I got some watery looking blood, so on the tissue and some drops that dropped out. This morning I only have brownish color when I wipe, the red stuff is gone. no cramping.
now i don't really have any preg. symtoms anyway, other then feeling tired and my eating habbits getting more i don't feel anything, which is normal for me, so knowing if the symtoms have slowed down is a hard one for me.
I have phoned the Dr and she said to take it easy for the weekend, a bit hard to do that though with a 11 month old. and I figure what will be will be really.
Still I can't help but worry and I could really use a chat with someone (or email) that maybe could shead some light on this.
please add me to your msn or email me. I would appreicate it very much.
thank you

lisa i think that baby was just attatching itself....its call implantation bleeding ↑
I've just had my second miscarriage. I was 11 weeks this time and did have to have a D&E. Unfortunately, I'm now having complications from the surgery and may have to have another procedure done. My doctor is keeping in touch with me and has arranged for grief counseling for my husband and I. I feel bad for anyone going through what I am. It does not get easier with each miscarriage. It absolutely is more difficult. Good luck to you and do whatever you have to to get thoses babies to term ! ↑
I am sorry to hear that Ruth! Even though what is happening to me at the moment I can tell you how we handled it before we got our daughter.
The first miscarriage we lost at 4/6 weeks I thought ok we will just try again. The second one I lost at 18 weeks a baby girl. We were distraut to say the least. The third miscarriage was 8 weeks and by that time we decided just to give up for good and enjoy the son we already had.
a couple months later we went to see my mom and she took one look at me and said I was pregnant, I took a test and sure enough she was right. I didn't know what to think... to save all the worries i told myself that whatever happens happens and I carried on my life as normal (unlike the last to preg. I had) I worked, did the gardening, lifted heavy stuff, I didn't stop what I would of been doing if I hadn't been pregnant. The further we got the better I felt. And then the date finally came when Jennifer was born a healthy, HAPPY baby!!!
maybe i should be taking some of my own advice, but I know it can't be easy. I think everything happens for a reason and with us maybe those babies wasn't ment to be our time yet but jennifer was. And maybe this isn't ment to be for me.
I'm sorry if I have babbled on I hope I have been helpful and not upset you. I must admit letting a bit of my feelings out it has made me think to practice what I preach.
Anyway good luck!!! you will get through this even though it may not feel like it now. ↑ |
