I saw this forum, and just wanted to talk with someone. I have a very good friend who is 20 yo with anorexia. She talked about it with me a few months ago, and I told her most women have been down the starvation road albeit briefly, but that she should stop before she ruins her body. I told her she is a very beautiful girl and that starving will take her beauty all away very soon. She acted like she was accepting and for a few months, I thought she was better. Then a few months ago, she started showing up in layered clothing, lots of makeup (maybe to hide dark circles?) and always cold. She's having violent mood swings with her boyfriend and talking suicide. I feel that she is starving to the point of hormonal/chemical imbalance.
I want to sit down with her, her boyfriend and mine (we hang out all the time the 4 of us) and intervene. I don't quite know what to say except to not be judgemental. I don't want to watch this lovely girl die. Any help would be appreciated
