i agree w/ rosey children that young will eat if theyre hungry there's no eating disorder-related reason for them to deny food. long before i had an ed i was the pickiest eater, but i would still eat when my stomach told me to... just don't force them to "not be able to leave the table before they finish whats on their plate" for this can create a nasty habit in the future of eating everything on their plate no matter how large the portion because it will have been drilled into their heads to do so.

Well 18 months is around the time children get theyre molars and if thats the case then you shouldnt be concerned all childred have a hard time eating when they have teeth comming in, espically molars, if thats it baby orajel will help them eat better without the pain but if thats not it i suggest you either talk to your pediatrition or get them on a high calorie diet, make sure what they do eat is healthy but make sure it has lots of calories. 18 lbs is kind of a concern for an 18 month old, its cutting it pretty close, but another reason they could be so thin is because babies tend to shed fat as they learn to walk and run. I dont really know what else to say besides get them on a high calorie diet but also talk to your chindrens doctor, or you could try spreading they're meals farther apart so that the wait will make them hungier, i hope i helped, good luck with the babiess.
