This is to all the people that believe that no good comes out of homeschooling. Here is a list of links, where you can find lists of famous people that were homeschooled. If you think they are all stupid, as some of you think all homeschooled people are, I challenge you to contact the ones that are still living, and tell them that yourselves!

It
all depends on the time and amount of effort the parents put towards their children's educations.

Checked it out since I know the "bashers" won't. Here is a short list of the MANY famous homeschoolers:
Wolfgang A. Mozart, Andrew Carnegie, Alexander G. Bell, Thomas Edison, Orville and Wilbur Wright, Claude Monet, Albert Schweitzer, Our 1st, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 9th,10th,16th,26th,28th, and 32nd presidents, Albert Einstein, John Rutledge, Winston Churchill, Benjamin Franklin, Patrick Henry, and C. S. Lewis just to name a few. Very impressive. Thanks for sharing!

You're very welcome, Rian. Thank you for writing out a partial list for those that ARE interested in important people in history that were homeschooled.

Did you also notice that Whoopie Goldberg was homeschooled as well?

Missed that! I actually couldn't use the first link you posted for some reason, so I just typed in Famous people educated at home on my search tool and I had that list come up. It may have been a different site, but still fun to check out. I posted a reply to you on another thread. Did you see it? I was complimenting you on your grammar as well as a couple of other ladies. Seems like we have a bunch of illiterates here bashing the well educated home schoolers. Hmmmm.....

I posted that compliment under socializing with other kids.

Yes, I saw that, and I thank you for it. My 13 yr old daughter is in public school in another state, and I hate to get emails from her, as she types like a lot of the kids in here. I don't / won't allow my 11 yr old homeschooled son to get into that habit. It looks bad, hard to read and understand. Thank you very much for the compliments!

I am sorry Patti that your daughter is in another state. That must be hard for you. I have three girls and I am dreading the day they become teenagers. :). I am sure it will be crazy at our house.
