At 14, it would be easier because your body will respond really well to any type of muscle building exercise you do. Try pilaties or anything that produces long lean muscles--even ballet is another option--plus you produce kick arse muscles! Walking, running, traditional aerobic activies are a great way to lose the overall fat but it most 14 yr olds just need to be firmed up--and a stretching type exercise can do that easily.
