I have been a semi-disabled, stay at home, single mom since my daughter was born and my husband left. For the first six years of her life she watched him bounce from woman to woman lying and using each one for money as he went. He was a horrible influence on her. When he had a son, he stopped paying any attention to her at all. Now she is 12 and is taller and stronger than me. She lies and she blows up at me often over very small things. I know she's in pain. I had her in counceling for two years with two different child councelors, but she didn't seem to get much relief from it. Now she has started trying to bully me when I impose a punishment at home. I don't bully easily so she ends up stomping to her room and slamming the door. No matter what I say she does what she wants. I am at my wits end. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? If so, please tell me how you got through it. Thanks

Dodi I have not but I do know some one who has. The mum ended up having to have her daughter put in to a state program where by she would have to obied by certain home rules. After some getting use to it worked the child was as sweet as pie and listened to her mum completely.
