I GAVE A DISCRIPTION AS TO THE INCIDENT WHILE WALKING THE DOG IN THE PARK. MY HUSBAND SAYS MY DOG WAS PLAYING WHEN BITING BECAUSE HE DID NOT SNARL OR GROWL. A BITE IS A BITE. I THAT DOES MAKE ME ANYMORE COMFORTABLE ENOUGH TO KEEP THE DOG. HE BITE ME.-

so what injurys did you recieve? by the sounds of things your over reacting . If the pit bull wanted to injure you he would have. He was obviously only playing its just this is a mans dog that you cant handle. A dog will obviously use its mouth while playing as it has no hands. If id didnt snarl it wasnt attacking. Maybe you should get a goldfish as your next pet

Would running with him have any bearing on his sudden what appeared to be agressive behavior and is this even more confirmation he was playing. I am Just unsure.

yes running does have a bit of an effect. Bullys also have quite a bit of active predator in thier bloodlines.
but i can ALMOST guarantee that your boy saw it as an oppurtunity to PLAY and just does not realize that you are not as Durable as your husband. my female now 20 months old would try to play with my wife as hard as she would wrestle with me, and we had to TEACH her how to "be easy" and also when it was not playtime with a 1 word command and some MILD yet constant discipline. it may take a few weeks but the two of you working together so your dog learns the difference between Daddy & Mommy play, will pretty much eliminate any problems as far as that goes.
One other thing , if YOU were menstrual at the time it also could have set him off into mating mode. because even though he was nuetered PHYISICALLY. he is still all MALE in his mind.
good luck.
