I WAS SUDDENLY ATTACKED BY MY PIT BULL YESTERDAY WHILE WALKING HIM IN THE PARK. HE TRIED TO MOUNT ME AND WHEN I TRIED PUSHING HIM AWAY HE BECAME AGRESSIVE AND STARTED TO BITE. LUCKILY I HAD ON A QUILTED DOWN JACKET. I DO NOT TRUST THIS DOG ANYMORE AND DO NOT WANT TO KEEP HIM.

do you smell like a dog or something that could have caused it. no seriously if you were in contact with a female dog in heat the smell could be on you and would cause him to mount you. and dogs are naturally more agressive when servicing a bitch in heat? neutering your dog could cause the problem!

actually, graham, means neutering your dog could and probably will SOLVE the problem.

My dog is neutered. Something I did not mention, this occured while running with him. Although we ran before and it didn't happen.
I'm was concerned but no way would I let my dog know it. I continued to train him and give commands before going home.

This is a bad case of owner-aggressive dominance. I suggest you take him to a trainer and get this sorted out. And I also strongly suggest you read some of Leerburg's stuff.... it sure helped me out.

It's very informative and he'll tell you just what to do when your dog is performing dominant actions on you. AND aggressive-dominance can be fixed.
