I found my dog last year running int he middle of the road, she is a pit bull/boxer mix, and she is the best dog I have ever had. I have a son and I really got the dog for him, he is 7 and they get along so well. Her name is izzy and she will be 1 in Jan. I find it funny when people talk about pit bulls so bad, I have no problems with her at all, and I will continue to get these type of dogs!! I would love to see some pics of others dogs that are the same breed, pit bull/boxer!

How difficult is it to training this type of dog to accept cats? This dog is a boxer, pitbull mix

Hey, Training this type of dog to accept cats isnt hard (my opinion.)
My Boxer/Pitt and my 2 year old cat are the best of friends. They sleep, eat and play with one another.

I introduced them very slowly making sure my dog was nice and tired from a walk, and the cat was in a "relaxed mood" make sure you can read your animals moods before doing this.

I love pit bull boxer mixes. My bullboxer was the best dog I have ever owned. He was a one person dog and sooooo loyal and trustworthy. Once you own a pitbull or any pitbull mixes, you will never ever want to own a different type of dog ever

I have a 8.5 year old and he has been the best pup. He is trained, and is as gentle as they come. He can be around small dogs and children.

I have a pitbull boxer mix. She's the best dog I've ever had. She's never been aggressive even when being tortured by a pack of young kids. She's obedient, loving, super smart and very healthy. I've had her since she was a little over a year old and she is nearly 15 now and still pretty darned spry. As for being hyper....NOT. A dog is the culmination of its environment. If the environment is hyper, the dog will be hyper. They are easily trainable and catch on quickly. Pit bulls have a bad rep because of all the thugs fighting them. They are not that way by nature, in fact in the 1800's they were used to protect and entertain children. They are beautiful dogs with gentle souls and I'd recommend them to anyone.

I have a 4.5mnth. old boxer/pitbull mix. Its been here 3 days and all of the sudden he won't leave the trash alone. For the most part he's potty trained, but every once in a while he goes in our 6yr.olds room and i don't know why. I want to do the right thing and work with him. will someone please help me do the right thing. not only to break him, but do it the right way?

Oops! me again. I guess i need to give you my email address if i want help. you can reach me at: [email protected].
My name is jason and i got a pitbull/boxer 3 days ago. at first he was fine. then yesterday i caught him in the trash 3 different times, getting on him each time. i know he's smart because he's pretty much potty trained already. he's peed a couple of times in our 6yr. olds room ,but nowhere else.i just want to train him the right way will someone give me suggestion to further this great relationship? thanks!!!

Feed your dog Eagle Pak dog food & keep the trash where he can't get to it. My Boxer/pit only gets in the trash when she's hungry...and my trash is where she can get it. They are very smart, obedient dogs. Only problem I have it keeping her from attacking stray dogs that wonder in my yard...she wants to kill them.
