Should you really be naming puppies for adoption? Isn't that the owner's right?

briseis, I volunteer at an animal shelter and we name all the puppies. I have adopted dogs from shelters and we rename them when we get home.

What will you be charging for the adoption?

Until the dog is grown there is no way of truly knowing if these dogs are going to be as small as what people call Tea cups. Also These dogs that are being bread unusually smaller than there size standard tend to have added health problems. Be care full about purchasing what are called Tea Cup size dog! You may get a lot more size in the dog then you thought and a lot more vet bills as well.

Sure I understand. But it sounds like this is a breeder, not an animal shelter. I've heard of animal shelters naming their dogs, but not breeders.

We have bred our whole lives. We have always named our puppies.

Simply because when sell the pups they are young enough to change their names, and them never know the difference.

Ah OK. I didn't say there was anything wrong with it. Just not something I would do. I wouldn't try to sell a puppy and tell any potential owner it's name. If I were buying a pup, I'd raise my eyebrows at that. That's all. I think it's sweet you name them, but I wouldn't use their name in selling them personally.

There is no such thing as a teacup dog. They are just the runt or bed with 2 extremely tiny dogs and you can be charged way more money for them. They usually have way more health problems and it's not good for their mother either. The only dog that is a recognized teacup breed, is the teacup poodle. Other than that any dog under 30lbs is a toy breed. I hate when I see people trying to sell toy pomeranians or toy chihuahuas. They are all toy breeds!!

True. Never heard of Teacup dogs. Doesn't exist in dogs shows I've been to or heard of.

could you please send me more information about Nelly and a picture of her. Also is there a fee for adoption. I really want a maltese puppy but I cannot afford the high prices and was very excited to find a puppy to adopt. I can't wait to hear from you. Thank you,

This person more than likely doesn't have a puppy for sale, he/she is probably looking to rook some one. If you are looking for a Maltese puppy search from breeders in your own area. At least you will know you are really getting one! Good luck I hope you find one.

BEWARE, CAMEROON AFRICA PET SCAM - THERE IS NO PUPPY. This idiot pet scammer is located in CAMEROON AFRICA. This idiot pet scammer will ask interested buyers to pay the dog's shipping costs to a fake “pet shipping company” in CAMEROON AFRICA. The victims wire money for the dogs but only get excuses for the delay. Instead, they're repeatedly asked for more money to cover additional "fees" invented by the scammer. Greedy scammers will concoct even more fees that the victim needs to pay after the dog has supposedly been shipped.

BEWARE, THESE CAMEROON AFRICA PET SCAMMERS ARE MAGGOTS ALL OVER THE INTERNET. You can identify these idiot pet scammers because they will insist you pay by money order or wire transfer. NEVER wire funds via Western Union, MoneyGram or any other wire service -- anyone who asks you to do so is a scammer. Google “Cameroon Pet Scam” for more info on this PET SCAM.
