HELP! we just got a new kitty a few weeks ago that is about 6 months old. he was a stray and must have been taken from his mother before he was weened. all night long he sucks on the blankets of the bed. he is so loud we can't sleep and if we lock him out of the room he just bangs on the door. we have tried everything we can think of to make him stop and he won't. will he ever grow out of this?

Buy him his own blanket.

Although now passed on, my cat use to do the same thing and lasted until I would guess her to be around 8mo. She was quite the dear, and she too was weaned WAY too early although bottle fed .... her lost her mama. It'll pass in time. I agree, give her her own blanket to suck on. It's a form of comfort.
