I got a female Shitzu yesterday. She is between 2-3 years old, and was spayed at a young age (no litter).
She has to weight atleast 35-40 lbs. no energy and always out of breath. The mgr. at Petsmart said feed
her diet adult= less than 1/2 cup two times a day and no snacks. ANY SHITZU OWNERS HAVE ANY ADVICE? We want her healthy but not starving.

The amount they quoted is correct, only i would take her of the adult formula and place her on a good quality senior or low fat food. Only feed her dry food, it is better for her any way.

I agree with that! And make sure she gets exercise!!! I have two shih tzu's and they kind of need motivation to be overly active... Now that I have the two of them, they motivate each other. Take her for short excursions at first, but then lengthen them. It should help!
